TQ: What inspired you to turn your passion for nature into a large-scale tree-planting project?

EE: Since childhood, I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature. My background in landscape architecture gave me a scientific and emotional understanding of how every tree affects our planet’s balance. When I became a real estate broker, I realized that every transaction could be more than just a sale, it could also be a gift back to the Earth. That’s how the idea was born. For every property sold, I plant trees in my clients’ names. It’s a way to celebrate success while restoring what sustains us all.

TQ: Could you share more about the environmental projects you’ve led or supported since you began this journey in 2008?

EE: Since 2008, I’ve planted more than 17,000 trees across Canada, USA and Türkiye, partnering with organizations such as One Tree Planted, Tree Canada, Yeşil Türkiye and TEMA. Each year, I plant trees on behalf of my clients, helping create new forests. Beyond that, I’ve supported reforestation after wildfires, urban green space revitalizations. My goal is to show that sustainability can be part of everyday business, not a separate activity, but a lifestyle and responsibility.

TQ: You’ve connected your professional success with environmental and cultural values. What message do you hope this initiative sends to our readers and future generations?

EE: I want people to see that success and responsibility can grow together. Planting trees isn’t just symbolic; it’s an act of hope and continuity. For my clients, those trees represent new beginnings a new home, a new chapter, a living legacy. For the next generation, I hope it sends the message that every small effort counts. Whether you’re a professional, a student or a community member, you can always add value to the world around you.

TQ: With your new project, you’re inviting the real estate community and the broader public to take part, raising awareness, taking action on environmental issues, and contributing to a meaningful cause. Turquebec, with its deep cultural connections, has been involved in numerous humanitarian projects across Canada supporting Türkiye in times of crisis. How do you envision your initiative encouraging people to actively participate in protecting the environment?

EE: My vision is to create a movement where every real estate broker in Canada plants trees for their clients, imagine 160,000 REALTORS turning every transaction into a contribution to our planet. Together, we could reforest millions of trees each year. I believe real change starts with inspiration and example: Through Turquebec’s cultural and humanitarian spirit, and the collective power of our communities, we can make environmental protection part of everyday life. One transaction, one tree, one act at a time.
